BINGO is a listening game that can be used to help students learn new vocabulary or reinforce known vocabulary.
Instructions:

- Bingo cards
- Bingo Powerpoint
- Tokens (or markers to place on bingo card)
Step 1. Pass out bingo cards and tokens to every student.
Step 2. Have the bingo slideshow ready (students should not be able to see which image you pick as this is a listening comprehension activity).
Step 3. Choose an image and click the image. This will bring you to another slide where you have the option to click a sound file which will speak for you or you may choose to speak yourself. Once you go back to the home slide, the image that was clicked will have changed colour indicating that it has already been clicked.
Step 4. Once a word (or phrase) has been played, students will then place a token on the square that matches what they heard.
Step 5. Choose before hand the way that someone can win. For example, horizontal line, vertical line, diagonal, blackout, two lines, etc. Once a student completes the line requirements they need to say, “Bingo!” Be sure to double check students’ cards if they say, “Bingo!”
Adaptations:
1. The Christmas Bingo has three variations of bingo sheets that can be used:
a) Pictures with words
b) Pictures
c) Words
Choose whichever version suits your students best.
