SIMON SAYS is a comprehension game that requires students to follow what "Simon" says.
Instructions:
There are no materials needed for this activity.
*In French they do not say "Simon dit..." (Simon says...), instead they say "Jacques a dit..." (Jacques said...)
Step 1. One person is determined to be "Jacques" (this could be the teacher or a student).
Step 2. "Jacques" will say "Jacques a dit..." When this is said, everyone else needs to do what "Jacques" says.
For example, "Jaques a dit sautez" and everyone jumps.
Step 3. If "Simon" decides not to say "Jacques a dit..." then if anybody does the action, they are out of that round.
For example, "Dansez." Anybody who dances is out because "Jacques" didn't say "Jacques a dit" before saying the action.
Step 4. Whoever is "Jacques" can do any variety of combinations from step 2 and step 3 until only one person or no one is left standing.

Assessment:
This is an excellent game to assess students' comprehension of directions and commands, along with prepositions.
