Step 1. Choose one student to be "it." This person will stand in the middle of the playing field. All other students should be behind the "safe" line or touching the wall.
Step 2. The "it" student will call out a colour in French and all students that are wearing that colour need to run to the other side of the playing field to that "safe" zone. While students are running, the "it" student will try to tag as many people as they can.
Step 3. This round, students who just ran (or from previous rounds) will not run. One side needs to be emptied before the students can run again. The "it" student will call out another colour and the remaining students on that side wearing that colour need to run to the other side.
*If the "it" student wants everyone to run to the other side they will call out "Skittles!"
Step 4. Repeat the above steps until there is no one remaining to run.

Adaptations:
1. This game can be used with a variety of vocabulary themes:
Examples: Assign a fruit or vegetable to group of students. This would mean that the "it" student would call out a fruit or vegetable and the students with that food would have to run.
Assessment:
This is an excellent game to assess students' comprehension of simple vocabulary words.
